The Floating Book Fair

Last April 3, we brought the kids to the Doulos Hope ship for their Book Fair. It was our first experience of the Doulos Hope Floating Book Fair, and while the weather was not so cooperative, the kids did have fun browsing through the book shelves.  For our future reference, here are my tips to self:  1. Bring fully-charged hand-held fans (one is not enough). The part of the ship where the actual book fair was held did not have air-conditioning. Therefore, it was a sweaty experience going from one row of shelves to another and browsing through the books. We brought one hand-held fan for each kid, and thankfully they were enough.  2. Do not bring stroller . The ship itself was not kid- or handicap-friendly since we had to go up a narrow winding staircase inside the ship.  3. Go on weekdays and office hours . So, I was looking at my archival blog (which I haven't opened since 2018), which was purely about outfits. You could say at one point in my young adolescent life I was into blogging and street fashion, given that I had a boyfriend who was also into photography. My twenty-something self thought: "Well, I might as well see how far this goes, since we're snapping pictures anywhere anyway." I had nothing else to do but go out on dates and snap photos, what can I say.  This blog itch started in 2012, supported thankfully by my boyfriend (now husband) and went on for about seven years. Somehow, somewhere along raising three kids and practicing my real profession (I'm an eye doctor when I'm not changing diapers and bringing kids to their football camps, by the way), my blog turned neglected...until one day (today, exactly!)
